2.5.8 Battery Disconnect Panel and Breakers - The cabinet is equipped with six 40 Amp DC
alarmed circuit breakers (one per string) within the battery compartment.
2.5.9 AC Load Center - The MESA
®
6 NxT / Calix ODC-120 cabinet is wired for 60Amp 120/240
Volt single phase 50/60 Hz systems. A Nationally Recognized Test Laboratory (NRTL)
certified 10-position power distribution panel contains:
• one 60A/240Vac main circuit breaker,
• one 60A/240Vac generator circuit breaker,
• one 30A/240Vac circuit breaker for the rectifier A,
• one 30A/240Vac circuit breaker for the rectifier B,
• one 15A/120Vac circuit breaker for the convenience outlet, and
• one 15A/120Vac circuit breaker provided for the battery heater pad.
3. OPENING AND CLOSING THE CABINET DOORS
3.0.1 Purpose - This section describes the locking mechanisms on the doors of the cabinet and
explains how to open and close the doors. Refer to this section whenever instructed to open or
close cabinet doors.
3.0.2 Lock Type - The MESA
®
cabinet door latches are equipped with a pad lockable tamper resistant
lock (shown in Fig. 4).
3.0.3 Opening a Door - Perform the following steps to open a door:
Step 1: If required, use a key to unlock the door according to local practices.
Step 1: Insert the tamper-resistant wrench into the cup sems hex bolt.
Step 2: Turn the bolt a few degrees counter clockwise to release the latch.
Step 3: Lift the latch to open the door. See Fig. 4.
