the aforementioned procedure in reverse.
CAUTION!
• After using the mechanical key, put it
back into the remote control key as
soon as possible to avoid losing it.
Key Number Plate
If the mechanical key is lost or a spare key
needs to be made, it is best to entrust a
BYD authorised dealer or service provider
to make a mechanical key with the use of
the key number plate.
CAUTION!
• Please keep the key number plate in
a safe location.
Replacing the Remote Control
Key Battery
The remote control key battery SOC will
decrease even when the key is idle. The
following circumstances indicate that SOC
may be exhausted and the battery should
be replaced as soon as possible.
•
The remote control key is not working
properly;
•
The detection area of the remote control
key has become smaller;
• "Low key battery" is displayed on the
instrument cluster.
Replacing the remote control key battery:
1. Remove the bottom shell.
2. Rotate the battery cover clockwise and
remove it.
3. Remove the battery.
4. After replacing the battery, follow the
aforementioned procedure in reverse
to re-install the battery cover and the
bottom shell.
CAUTION!
•
Please keep the battery dry during
replacement.
•
The battery should only be held
lightly by its edges when being
inserted. Touching the battery's
anode and cathode surfaces may
shorten its service life.
