4. Connect the other end of the red anode
(+) cable to rescue vehicle electric
battery anode (+) terminal.
5. Connect one end of the black cathode (-)
cable to rescue vehicle electric battery
cathode (-) terminal.
6. Connect the other end of the black
cathode (-) cable to rescued vehicle
corresponding GND point (clean and
unpainted solid metal part).
7. Start the rescue vehicle first, and after a
while, try to start the rescued vehicle.
8. After the rescued vehicle has started,
cut the rescue vehicle power supply,
disconnect the jumper cables in reverse
order to that of their connection, and
put them away.
9. Install the bonnet left trimming and
close the bonnet.
WARNING!
• There is a risk of electrical short
circuit if jumper cables are connected
or disconnected in the wrong order,
resulting in damage to the vehicle or
personal injury.
• In order to prevent short circuit when
jump starting a vehicle, jumper cable
clips must not contact each other or
any conductive material other than
their corresponding battery terminals.
CAUTION!
•
If the rescued vehicle will not start
after repeated attempts, please
contact a BYD authorised dealer or
service provider.
• The rated voltage of the rescue
vehicle battery should be 12V during
jump start.
Emergency Starting
If the remote control key loses power, the
vehicle can still be started as follows:
1. Place the remote control key near the
icon on the auxiliary instrument
cluster (in the front cup holder).
