DRIVING
REMINDER
•
HDC automatically turns off when the
vehicle speed exceeds 65 km/ h.
•
HDC works within the range of
approximately 11-38 km/h. Within
this range, the accelerator or brake
pedal can be pressed or released to
adjust vehicle speed.
Controlled Deceleration for
Parking Brake (CDP)
When the EPB switch is pulled up, CDP
will engage and the vehicle will brake at
a constant deceleration (the deceleration
will be 0.4g if only the EPB switch is pulled
up and 0.8g if the EPB switch is pulled up
and the brake pedal is pressed at the same
time) until the vehicle comes to a stop. If
EPB is released, CDP will stop functioning.
Hill Hold Control (HHC)
When the vehicle is started on a slope, HHC
can maintain brake pressure for 1 second to
prevent the vehicle from sliding backward
after the brake pedal is released.
WARNING!
•
When the vehicle is started on a steep
slope, the vehicle may slip. Therefore,
never rely solely on HHC. Be mindful
of safe driving.
Brake Disc Wiping (BDW)
When the wiper switch is turned on or rain
drops are detected by the rain sensors, IPB
will apply a small brake pressure to the four
brakes so the brake pads make contact
with the discs. The water film on the brake
discs is then removed to reduce the brake
response time, and shorten the braking
distance.
REMINDER
•
As long as the system detects rain
drops or the wiper signal is ON, the
brake disc will be regularly wiped at
certain intervals to improve safety.
Cooperative Regenerative
Braking System (CRBS)
The CRBS system combines motor energy
regeneration torque and hydraulic braking
torque to form the braking torque required
by the driver. When the driver presses the
brake pedal, the motor energy regeneration
torque and the hydraulic braking torque
will continuously cooperate to meet any
necessary braking requirements.
Electronic Brake Pre-charging
(EBP)
EBP will monitor the status of the
accelerator pedal through the IPB system to
pre-build pressure for the braking system,
so as to shorten the response time of the
braking system and improve driving safety.
Roll Movement Intervention
(RMI)
When the vehicle turns, RMI will determine
if there is a risk of rollover by monitoring
the movement of the vehicle. If any risk is
detected, braking will be applied to one
or more wheels to decelerate and avoid
rollover.
Comfort Stop (CST)
CST integrates the brake pedal adjustment
and comfort stop functions to provide a
more comfortable driving experience.
Brake pedal adjustment
: the brake pedal
mode is used to adjust how the driver feels
the brake pedal on their foot. Changes in
brake pedal pressing depth as a function of
