Airbags
Protection function of airbags
When the vehicle suffers any severe impact
that could potentially cause injury to driver
and/or passengers, the airbags will quickly
be deployed and inflate. Airbags and the
seat belts work in tandem to reduce the risk
of serious injury to occupants in the event
of an accident.
Make sure to carefully read and follow the
precautions below.
WARNING!
•
Be sure to fasten seat belts correctly.
•
Improperly protected infants, toddlers
and young children may sustain
serious or even life-threatening
injuries due to airbag deployment.
Children must be properly protected
with child protection devices.
•
Do not place, install or stick anything
in the dashboard panel or steering
wheel airbag areas. Doing so can
launch these objects at occupants
when the frontal airbags deploy,
causing serious and potentially life-
threatening injuries.
•
Do not use seat accessories that
may obstruct the deployment of the
front seat side airbags, cause system
failure or accidental deployment,
resulting in serious and potentially
life-threatening injuries.
