wipe the vehicle horizontally or in a
circular motion.
•
Quickly remove any major or highly
corrosive blemishes (such as asphalt and
bird droppings) and clean them using
special detergents. Do not use blades
or gasoline to remove them, as they will
damage the paint surface.
•
Do not touch the paint with greasy
hands or scrub it with a greasy cloth. Do
not place tools or cloth contaminated
with chemicals on the vehicle body to
avoid adverse reactions.
•
If there is no obvious scratching on the
paint, do not repaint, to prevent the
paint colour from being inconsistent or
blending poorly.
•
Avoid strong impacts, bumping or
scratching the paint film. If the paint
surface is found to be scarred, dented
or peeling off, contact a BYD authorised
dealer or service provider as soon as
possible for repair.
•
Clean plated metal parts with carbon
cleaner and wax them regularly for
protection.
•
Use quality detergent to clean the body.
Do not wipe too hard when waxing to
avoid damage to the paint surface.
•
Wax the paint occasionally, and contact
a BYD authorised dealer or service
provider for regular maintenance (once
every three months), so as to restore
paint sheen.
Interior
Maintenance
Interior maintenance should follow
interior cleaning. After interior cleaning is
completed, interior maintenance can be
carried out as follows:
•
After the dashboard panel is cleaned, a
layer of protective wax should be applied
in order to slow down its aging and that
of other plastic parts, and to prolong
their service life.
•
Leather surfaces can be sprayed with
special leather wax, and then wiped with
a dry cloth.
•
Glasses can be sprayed with glass
coating products to prevent fogging
in rainy and snowy weather, or during
winter.
•
Regularly maintain the door sealing
strips with a rubber maintenance
agent to keep them supple and in good
conditions.
