WARNING!
•
It is strictly forbidden to disassemble
or modify the high-voltage battery, or
use it for other purposes.
•
Make sure that the high-voltage
battery is kept away from fire sources
to avoid fire or explosion.
•
Do not spray, trample, impact or
damage the high-voltage battery to
avoid leakage, fire or explosion of
corrosive chemicals.
•
It is strictly forbidden to touch either
the anode or cathode terminals of the
high-voltage battery box with bare
hands.
•
It is strictly forbidden to crush, pierce
or burn the high-voltage battery.
•
If the high-voltage battery is seriously
damaged mechanically, and the
internal HV components are exposed,
there will be serious danger of major
combustion or electric shock, which
may lead to serious personal injury
and environmental pollution.
•
Leakage of electrolyte from the high-
voltage battery may cause a fire.
•
If the electrolyte in the high-voltage
battery comes into contact with
skin or eyes, immediately wash the
affected area with abundant water
and seek medical advice at once.
Recycling the High-Voltage
Battery
When the vehicle is ready to be scrapped,
recycle the high-voltage battery in
accordance with local regulations.
Using the High-Voltage Battery
It is recommended that the vehicle is used
in temperatures between -10~40° C, and
the battery is timely charged in case of low
SOC to ensure adequate driving range and
optimum acceleration performance.
Avoid exposing the vehicle to temperatures
above 40° C or below -30° C for over 24
hours in succession.
If the vehicle needs to be parked for a long
period of time in relatively low ambient
temperatures, search for areas with
relatively higher temperatures such as
heated garages or warmer underground
garages.
While driving , avoid frequent, sudden
acceleration and deceleration, and drive on
level and dry roads. If necessary, turn off
high-power electric equipment such as A/C
system, or adjust its temperature to reduce
power consumption to extend driving
range.
As the SOC displayed on the instrument
cluster may deviate from the actual value,
it is recommended that the vehicle is fully
charged if used for the first time or used
again after being parked for an extended
period of time.
To keep the high-voltage battery at its best,
charge it fully on a regular basis (at least
once a week).
Under extreme driving conditions (such as
sudden and continuous acceleration or
deceleration), if the high-voltage battery
temperature is too high, its discharge
capacity will gradually decrease, which is
normal. If the battery temperature
continues to rise, the warning light for high
battery temperatures on the instrument
cluster will light up
. In this case, please
contact a BYD authorised dealer or service
provider.
When the high-voltage battery SOC rises
or drops abnormally, please contact a BYD
authorised dealer or service provider.
As the high-voltage battery slowly heats
up, the temperature control system will
not display too obvious effects for a short
period of driving, which will increase power
consumption and shorten driving range.
