7.2.3

Standard titration

Standard titration with Mütek™PCD-05 Light

Fill exactly 10 ml of the anionic standard Pes-Na 0.001

N into the measuring cell and titrate with Poly-Dadmac

0.001 N up to the point of zero charge.
The consumption of Poly-Dadmac should be in the

range of

9.75 - 10.25 ml.

Information

With the Mütek™PCD-05 Smart a standard titration can
be performed automatically, as described below.

Standard titration with Mütek™PCD-05 Smart

• Connect a mobile device to the PCD-05 Smart as

described (see chapter 5.5 "Connect a mobile

device to PCD-05 Smart", page 34).

• Under the tab "Titrator" select 5 ml or 10 ml Pes-Na

by using the toggle button.

Information

If you select 5 ml Pes-Na, fill 5 ml de-ionized water
into the measuring cell.

• Press "Start".

- Pes-Na will be dosed into the measuring cell.
- After Pes-Na is dosed the screen "Measure"

comes up.

- Sample name will be "Standard" automatically.
- After 30 seconds the titration will start.

- The result of the standard titration will be displayed

as follows:

• Accept the standard titration and start sample titra-

tions by pressing "YES" in the pop-up window.
• If you consider the deviation from the target

value too high press "NO".
- The system will ask for repeating the stan-

dard titration.

• Clean the measuring cell thoroughly and repeat

the standard titraton by pressing "YES".
- This will cause a return to the Titrator menu.
