5.13 Settings

5.13.1 General Settings

5.13.2 pH calibration (optional)

Information

If the Mütek™ PCD-05 is connected to an external titra-
tor system, the pH electrode has to be simultaneously
calibrated on the titrator and Mütek™ PCD-05.

For calibration, use two commercial buffer solutions,

one of them with pH 7.0 and the other with pH 4.01 or

pH 9.21.

Information

The buffers used for calibration should correspond to
the pH range of the samples.

Procedure

• Under the tab "Settings", select "Calibrate pH".
• Depending on the range of the second buffer solu-

tion you wish to use, touch the appropriate field

(acid pH 4.01 or alkaline pH 9.21).

Select ml or µeq/l, measurement
results will be displayed accor-
dingly

Settling time

Alternative to start a titration
manually, it is possible to enter fix
waiting time before titration starts
automatically.
For example settling time 30 s,
after the potential is measured for
30 seconds, the titration starts.
0 s = manual start of titration

Service Settings

By entering a password 4374
further calibration can be done,
this should be done only from
advanced users, see chapter
5.13.3, page 49

Calibrate pH

Opens the "pH Calibration"
window for pH electrodes, see
chapter 5.13.2, page 47

Set Time

Will ask you to set instrument
time according to client time
