Preventive Maintenance

This section provides procedures for routine preventive maintenance of the Atmo-

spheric Single-Arm Robot to reduce unscheduled downtime. The Atmospheric Sin-

gle-Arm Robot is designed to require very little routine maintenance. However, it is

recommended that the preventive maintenance procedures and schedule provided in

this section be followed to extend the operating life of the product and to minimize

unscheduled downtime. If additional procedures are required, they will be supplied

along with their maintenance schedules by Brooks Automation.

All Preventive Maintenance procedures and schedules provided here assume that the

Brooks Atmospheric Single-Arm Robot is operating in a clean, dry, inert environ-

ment. Any deviation from this basic environment will affect the scheduling of PM

and may also require additional PM procedures be performed. The user should

adjust the Preventative Maintenance Schedule as appropriate to account for any devi-

ations from this environment.

NOTE:

Brooks Automation offers training for troubleshooting and repair of the Atmo-

spheric Single-Arm Robot. Only qualified, properly trained persons should per-

form any maintenance or repair procedures. Damage resulting from improperly

performing a procedure is not covered under warranty or service agreements.
