3.1.1.3 Connection to an existing ISDN bus
Example 3: The device is running on an existing ISDN bus.

Note
The ISDN bus must be closed off at both ends with 2x 100 Ohm terminators. In this
scenario, the terminators integrated into the hybird 120 / hybird 130 should be
opened.
3.1.2 IP-based connection
With a pure IP-based connection, you initially connect the hybird 120 / hybird 130 as de-
scribed in the installation, to the network operator's transfer point. In such cases a splitter is
rarely used, and the connection is made directly to the first socket. Alternatively, you can
connect your device to an existing modem (e. g. a VDSL modem).
3.1.2.1 ADSL connection
Example 1: The hybird 120 / hybird 130 runs directly on the ADSL connection: To do this,
you merely need to connect your device to the wall socket of the ADSL connection and fol-
low the setup steps, for which you can refer to the installation poster or chapter
