Basic Configuration
Introduction
This section provides basic system configuration information for the
Kayenne K-Frame Video Production Center. Refer to the
Kayenne/Karrera
K-Frame Release Notes for information specific to your current software ver-
sion.
Configuration Steps
Kayenne K-Frame basic system configuration includes the following steps:
1. Power up the system.
2.
Set IP addresses for your facility (if not using defaults). Node Settings
will also need to be configured for proper system communications (see
page 117 ).
3. If necessary, adjust Control Panel button and display illumination
(
page 130 ).
4. If necessary, calibrate Control Panel lever arms and joystick (see
Maintenance
section).
5. Define your basic Engineering Setups. Essential settings include:
• Source Definition (see page 132 )
• Outputs (see page 137 )
• Tally (see page 142 )
6. Define a baseline User Setups (Panel Prefs and Suite Prefs). Important
settings include:
• Button Mapping (see page 172 )
• Source Patching (see page 174 )
• Default Keyframe (see page 174 )
