You can use the program parameters on the control panel (  p. 123 ,

) to program the contour guide.
4.8 Knee button (option for 1280)

You can use the knee button (1) to retract/extend the contour guide during
the sewing process.
To operate the knee button:
1. Press the knee button (1) with your knee as needed during the sewing
process.
 The contour guide is retracted.
