Nautica Configuration Wizard Reference Guide
OSPF Address Ranges
Address ranges represent the range of addresses in each area. This
information is broadcast by each ABR to its neighbours. These
summary tables are in turn broadcast to Area 0. Area 0, the
backbone, knows the address ranges of all the areas, but the areas
themselves only need to know the address ranges of the areas they
border. This cuts down on the amount of information passed
around the network.
In the table below, click on the option for which you require
further information.
Viewing Address Ranges
To view the current address ranges:
1.
Select a router in the Nautica Wizard window (
Figure
16-2
).
2.
Click on Advanced > OSPF > Ranges.
3.
The OSPF Address Ranges window appears:
