Nautica Configuration Wizard Reference Guide

Parameter:

Type

Function:

Specifies the type of frame filter.

Instructions:

One of four values is displayed here:

•

In

:

The filter is only applied to incoming packets.

•

Out: The filter is only applied to outgoing packets.

•

Bothway

:

The filter works on both in and outgoing

packets.

•

Call: If a match is made with the packet, an ISDN
call is raised.

Parameter:

Len

Function:

Length.

Function:

The value shown here is a number in bytes. Length is the
amount of the incoming packet against which the filter is
matched.

Parameter:

Offs

Function:

Offset.

Instructions:

Length tells you how much of a packet is to be matched
against this filter; offset tells you where this matching
begins in the packet. As with Length, it is a number in
bytes.

Parameter:

Mask

Function:

The mask is applied by the filter to the filtered portion of
the packet. It tells the filter which parts of the packet
(specified by the Offset and Length parameters) is to be
filtered.

Instructions:

The mask is shown as a value in hexadecimal format.
