Chapter 12
IP Operations
Internet Protocol (IP) is the protocol by which information is
moved between nodes on the internet. IP routers allow
information to be passed from one network to another. IP routers
determine the best way to reach a remote network and which
router to use on that network.
As the router operates it can learn new routing information which
is stored in the routing table for viewing, editing and deleting.
Nautica routers also allow the filtering of IP information, limiting
which nodes may communicate and which may not.
