Nautica Configuration Wizard Reference Guide

Parameter:

Profile Number

Options:

Set at time of creation

Function:

This parameter is set up at the time the filter is created; it
cannot be amended by the user.

Instructions:

The Profile Number is a numeric ID for a group of frame
filters.

The ID is the number of a filter within a profile group.

Length

Options:

A valid length in bytes

Function:

This parameter specifies the length of the packet to be
matched.

Instructions:

Enter a valid length in bytes. Using this parameter allows
you to specify what portion of the packet needs to be
matched for the filter to work.

Parameter:

Offset

Options:

A valid offset in bytes

Function:

The offset specifies how far into the packet the matching
needs to start.

Instructions:

The Length parameter is how much of the packet needs
to be checked; offset specifies where in the packet to
start checking this length. It is entered in bytes.
