Nautica Configuration Wizard Reference Guide

 Parameter:

Authenticate

 Default:

Incoming

 Options:

Incoming, None, Bothway

 Function:

Specifies on which type of calls PAP/CHAP 
authentication is to take place.

 Instructions:

Select an option:

•

Incoming: Authentication is only required on 
incoming calls.

•

None: No authentication is required by the unit.

•

Bothway: Authentication is required on both 
incoming and outgoing calls.

 Parameter:

MultiLink Enable

 Default:

Enabled

 Options:

Enabled, Disabled

 Function:

Enables or disable Multilink PPP (MP)

 Instructions:

With this option enabled the router tries to negotiate MP 
to allow for Bandwidth on Demand. When the threshold 
limits are reached for a path, MP brings up a second link 
for additional bandwidth.

This attribute can be used in conjunction with the 

BACP 

Enable

 attribute.
