5. After you have cut the tubing
look on underside of system
again to locate the brass nut
securing the bulkhead, and
loosen with a large adjustable
wrench. (Fig. 7.12-D)
6. From the inside if the cart remove the bulkhead from hole.
(Fig. 7.12-E)
7. All of the tubing on the new bulkhead will come with a sleeve
and straight through connector attached. Re-attach existing
tubing to the connectors on the new bulkhead; secure using the
supplied sleeve and sleeve tool. (Fig. 712-F)(Fig. 7.12-G)
8. Attach new bulkhead following instructions in reverse order. (Fig. 7.12-H)
9. Fill bottles and attach. Turn system on to pressurize bottles. Test for leaks by running the handpiece.
7.13 Replace Pucks in control Block
Tools Needed: 7/64 Allen Wrench
WARninG: electrical Shock
1. Turn off main power and air supply to unit.
2. Run Air syringe to relieve compressed air in system.
3. Open the cover to the delivery unit per your operating
instructions for the model of your system.
4. Depending on the model of your system, the control block is held in place with a bracket or screwed in from
underneath the baseplate. Remove the (2) screws or the hold-down bracket to release the control bracket.
5. Orient the control block with the heads of the socket cap screws facing up.
6. Using a 7/64 Allen Wrench, loosen all (13) screws from control block. Turn the block over and carefully collect all the
screws into your hand and then set aside.
7. Lay the block flat and carefully separate the control block in the center, open slowly so as not to lose any pucks.
8. Replace any defective or non-functioning puck gaskets with the provided pucks. Note: The puck gaskets have two
distinct sides. One side is smooth and the other side has a small ridge around the perimeter. When placing the
puck gasket, make sure the ridge side faces into the counter bore block side. This is the same side that has the air
adjustment screws in it. Once you place the puck gasket into the counter bore with the ridge down, the smooth side
will be facing out.
9. Make sure all of the pucks are placed into the counter bores. Hold this side of the block and then carefully place the
other side of the block on top and align. Be careful not to dislodge any of pucks.
10. Carefully hold together and flip over and insert screws, lightly tighten all screws first, then go back and firmly tighten.
11. Carefully place control block back in place, insuring no tubing gets pinched or kinked. Replace air pressure and
electrical to the system and test all functions.
