For more information on this protocol, please see abstract entitled “A Chemical Treatment Regimen to Reduce Bacterial

instructions provided with your disinfectant for effective control of the growth of biofilms in the water line.
3.2.2 Syringe Tips
For reusable tips follow the manufacturer’s suggested guidelines for tip cleaning.
3.2.3 Sterilization
The Triton™ Advanced Dental System® and the Attachments offered with it (Air/Water Syringe, Saliva Ejector, and High
Volume Evacuator) are not provided sterile. The air/water syringe and suction handpieces are designed for use with
disposable tips. If using reusable tips supplied by others, they must be properly sterilized before each use according to their
manufacturer’s instructions. In addition to the disinfection of these parts, a disposable barrier sleeve must be used to cover
the air/water syringe, saliva ejector and high volume evacuator (HVE). The disposable barrier sleeve must be discarded and
replaced between each patient.
Follow all manufacturer’s instructions for sterilization of any optional accessories and dental handpieces made by others.
