Removing the front wheel from
the front fork
4. Press the brake arms
in against the wheel
rim, hook the cable
guide onto the link,
and press the gaiter
into place.
1. Turn the adjustment
screw (M/Q1) and
the locking ring (M/
Q3) on the front
brake lever (M/Q) in
a clockwise direction
so that the brake pads
(T11) come as far away
from the wheel rims
as possible.
2. Pull the gaiter (T8) away from the cable guide (T7).
3. With your hand, press the brake arms (T5) in against
the wheel and unhook the cable guide from the link
(T6). Release the brake arms.
4. Loosen both wheel nuts (15 mm) and remove
the wheel from the ends of the fork.
Fixing the front wheel to the front fork
1. Unscrew the wheel nuts towards the ends of the axle
and place the washers against the nuts.
2. Align the ends of the front fork with the wheel axle and
press into place. Ensure that that wheel axle goes all
the way into the fork ends and that the washers are
between the fork ends and the wheel nuts.
3. Check that the wheel sits centrally between the forks,
and tighten the wheel nuts to 28–30 Nm.

(O) to position 1.
2. Turn the adjustment
screw (M/Q1) and
the locking ring (M/
Q3) on the rear brake
shifters (M/Q) in
a clockwise direction
so that the brake pads
(Y11) come as far
away from the wheel
rims as possible.
3. Pull the gaiter (Y8)
away from the cable
guide (Y7).
5. Try applying the brakes and check that the brakes work
(see
Brakes
in the
Settings and adjustments
section).
