Options for External Connections to the Pump

Accessory equipment connected to the analogue and digital interfaces RS232 interface (IR
interface) must be certified according to the respective IEC standards (e.g. EN60950 for data
processing equipment and EN60601-1 for medical equipment). Furthermore all
configurations shall comply with the valid version of the system standard EN60601-1-1.
Everybody who connects additional equipment to the signal input part or signal output part
configures a medical system, and is therefore responsible that the system complies with the
requirements of the valid version of the system standard EN60601-1-1. If in doubt, consult
the technical service department or your local

arcomed

representative.

Use following parts for connection on the back of the pump:

External 12-15V AC/DC connection (optional): If an external 12V - 15V AC/DC power
supply is used and is linked to other equipment, ensure that the safety of the system
complies with IEC60601-1-1.



Accessories and Consumables

It is possible to calibrate the Volumed® µVP7000 Chroma pump to infusion sets of other
brands than

arcomed ag

. With certain IV-sets it cannot be excluded, that increased repair

costs can arise. Furthermore the following safety note should be considered:

If this safety note is not respected patient might be harmed, warranty expiries immediately

If there are any new infusion sets to be used in combination with the Volumed® µVP7000
Chroma pump, please contact your local

arcomed

distributor for further information.

Warning:

Every pump is adjusted to only one type of infusion set. Only with this type

of infusion set the pump achieves the specified precision regarding flow rate and
measuring of pressure. The type of infusion set the pump is calibrated to can be seen
on a sticker on top of the pump.
