Malfunction Remedy
Plasma ignition error

Try to restart the plasma up to three times.

Check the plasma torch and the entire sample introduction
system for leaks.

Ensure that there is no moisture around the working coil
and the plasma interface.

If impurities have accumulated on the coil, clean it as
described in the manual.
Power controller
overflow Turn off the instrument and restart it again. If the problem
persists, please contact the SPECTRO Service Department.
Reflected power error

Check the sample introduction system for leaks or
blockages and whether all connections have been made
correctly.

If impurities have accumulated on the coil, clean it as
described in the manual.
HF adjustment error  Check the working coil, ensuring it is not deformed and it
is clean. The windings must be evenly distributed, the coil
must not be inclined to one side. If OK, repeat the test.
 If impurities have accumulated on the coil, clean it as
described in the manual.
 If deformation occurred and/or the problem persists,
please contact SPECTRO Service Department.
Standing wave ratio limit
exceeded Turn off the instrument and restart it again. If the problem
persists, please contact the SPECTRO Service Department.
Temperature error in the
plasma torch box

Check the plasma torch for blockages and verify the air
extraction from the plasma torch box. If necessary, dry the
torch.

Set the plasma torch box’s extraction to the values listed
in the operating manual.
Temperature in the
plasma torch box low Temperature sensor defective. Please contact the SPECTRO
Service Department.
