Exhaust air (to the outside)
Information
Compliance with regular functional checks of the extraction system and safety
devices, and observance of the maintenance and inspection intervals is
mandatory.
Adequate ventilation and fresh air supply must be provided. The ventilation system
must be checked regularly.
Warning! Toxic and corrosive substances!
Sample material may generate vapors. These may be toxic and/or corrosive.
In these cases, protective measures, e.g. breathing apparatus, must be
provided
The sample material may be toxic and/or corrosive.
Ensure that the external exhaust system functions properly.
Depending on the sample material used, it may be necessary to subject
the exhaust air to treatment in order to remove contaminants. If
necessary, the exhaust gases must be cleaned/filtered in accordance
with national (local) regulations.
Exhaust air nozzles are located at the top of the instrument.
The corrosion-free exhaust chimneys must be connected with the laboratory
exhaust system using a non-flammable, flexible and corrosion-resistant hose (ID
100 mm). The fan must be resistant to chemicals and designed to operate at
temperatures up to 80°C (176°F). The exact position of the exhaust nozzles is
shown in the figure below.
All installation must be performed in a professional manner and in accordance with
applicable engineering standards in order to prevent risk to life and limb and avoid
damage to material property.
