5.2.1 Controlling the implement with the AMATRON 3 on-board computer
The hydraulic functions of the implement are
actuated by the electrohydraulic control blocks
(shown without covers).
First, the desired hydraulic function must be
selected on the AMATRON 3 before the
hydraulic function can be executed using the
corresponding tractor control unit.
This activation of the hydraulic functions in the
AMATRON 3 allows operation of all hydraulic
functions with only:

2 tractor control units for the implement
functions

1 tractor control unit for the fan (singling
unit).

5.3 Star wheel
The star wheel (Fig. 53/1) drives the fertiliser
metering roller (Fig. 53/3). A Vario gearbox is
located upstream of the metering roller (Fig.
53/2).
The distance covered is measured by the star
wheel. The on-board computer requires this data
to calculate the forward speed and cultivated
area (hectare counter).
The "working position" sensor transmits the star
wheel position to the on-board computer. When
the star wheel is lowered, the on-board computer
activates the functions that are required during
operation.
