8.2.5 Adjusting the fertiliser placement depth
The adjustable coulter pressure applies a load of up to 200 kg on the
fertiliser coulter. The required fertiliser placement depth is only
achieved when the coulter pressure is correctly set.
1. Unscrew the lock nut (Fig. 200/1).
2. Turn the valve screw (Fig. 200/2) to adjust
the fertiliser coulter pressure.

Read off the fertiliser coulter pressure at the
pressure gauge (Fig. 200/3).
3. Tighten the lock nut.

In the tractor track, the placement depth of individual fertiliser coulters
can be separately adjusted in addition to the hydraulic adjustment.
1. Loosen the fastening nut (Fig. 201/1).
2. Loosen the adjustment screw (Fig. 201/2)
and remove.

DANGER
Do not stand in the swivelling area
of the fertiliser coulters!
3. Swivel the fertiliser coulter to the desired
position (Fig. 201/3).
4. Insert the adjustment screw (Fig. 201/2)
and tighten.
5. Tighten the fastening nut (Fig. 201/1).
Always check the placement depth of the fertiliser:

before starting work

following every adjustment of the fertiliser coulter pressure

if the forward speed changes during operation

if the soil conditions change.
Drive the implement across the field for a distance of roughly 100 m at
the intended working speed and check the placement depth, adjust if
necessary.
