8.1.8 Adjusting the ground contact pressure and intensity of the press rollers
The adjustable press rollers (Fig. 178/4) close the seed furrow and
push soil over the seed.
1. Lift up the lever (Fig. 178/1) briefly and
locate the tab (Fig. 178/2) in the toothed
segment (Fig. 178/3).
2. Make the same axial adjustment on each of
the press rollers:
3. Remove the lock nut (Fig. 179/1)
To unscrew the lock nut, it must be turned
opposite to the direction of rotation of the
press roller!
4. Pull off the press roller and reposition the
spacers (Fig. 179/2)
5. Adjust the position of the tab and axial
adjustment of the press rollers until the
required working result is achieved.

If the desired work results are not
obtained, adjust the press rollers by
turning the axle.
6. Rotate the axle by moving the lever (Fig.
180/1).
7. Secure the lever position with the bolt (Fig.
180/2).
8. Make the same settings on all seeding
units.
