The following is a timing chart example for the case where the touch start head (customer-prepared
product) is used.

H-HEAD UP
1
After the head is moved to the initial current position (contact position with a workpiece), turn on the H-ST1 signal. The welding control of
MAWA-300B
is started. Note: Turn on the H-ST1 signal over the START signal decision delay time.
2
After the H-ST1 signal is input or the pre-flow time is completed, move the torch head to the main welding position.
3
After the head is moved to the main welding position, turn on the H-ST2 signal. When the initial current time setting (FST) is NOT 0 ms,
MAWA-300B
starts main welding after the initial current time is completed. When the initial current time setting (FST) is 0 ms, the auto mode is
set if the H-ST2 signal is turned on immediately after the head reaches the main welding position and the fine weld mode is set if the H-ST2 signal
is turned on at the same time that the electrode touch sensor is turned off. (Refer to 6. (3) and 6. (4).)
4
After every welding control is completed, the H-END signal is output. After checking the H-END signal, move the head to the start position.
5
After the end of welding, the READY signal is output when the monitor judgment of welding is completed. Enter the next welding start signal after
checking the READY signal.
*1 This timing chart is applicable to the case where when the customer-prepared motor head is used, the 3 positions of start point, initial current point
and main welding point are set for the head teaching positions.
*2 Set value of “START signal input decision delay time.” Refer to “4. (6) Switch Select Screen.”
*3 Welding data creating time (approx. 60 ms for the first condition change or approx. 30 ms for the second or later change). Refer to “4. (6) Switch
Select Screen.”
*4 Set value of “END signal output time.” Refer to “4. (6) Switch Select Screen.”
*5 Set value of “GOOD/NG signal output time.” Refer to “4. (6) Switch Select Screen.”
*6 It becomes about 1.3 s when the High speed SCH change (No Wave) is OFF and about 100 ms when it is ON. Also, it takes about 1.7 s when the
current flows when ENVELOPE in the Limit output judgment on the Monitor select screen is ON. Refer to “4. (11) Monitor Select Screen.”
*7 At least, the set time of initial current (FST) should be longer the moving time for the head to move to the main welding position. Unless the
H-ST2 signal is input until the end of initial welding, an ST1 time error occur.
*8 A gas flow operation is performed while GAS is ON even if the gas flow control on the Switch select screen in 4. (6)
1
(g) is set to “OFF.”
*9 Set value of “H-HEAD UP signal output time.” Refer to “4. (6) Switch Select Screen.”
