Removal Procedure
for this procedure.
1.
”Assembly Installation and Removal Overview” on page 4-2

.
2.
Disconnect the power cord.
3.
Remove the covers from the signal generator. Refer to
.
4.
Remove the rear panel from the signal generator. Refer to
”Rear Panel (N5183A)” on page 3-26
NOTE
The rear panel must be removed to allow the pin connector on the A7 Micro Deck to be disconnected from the A3 RF assembly
without damaging the connector pins.
5.
Using a 5/16” open-ended wrench, disconnect one end of the following cables, see
to determine which end to disconnect.
W12 semi-rigid cable from the A3 RF assembly.
W13 semi-rigid cable from the A3 RF assembly.
6.
Disconnect W14 from A7J15.
7.
Disconnect W15 from A7J14.
8.
Using the T-10 driver, remove the eight screws (1) that secure the A7 Micro Deck to the chassis.
9.
Remove the A7 Micro Deck.
Replacement Procedure
for this procedure.
1.
Using the T-10 driver, remove the five screws (3) that secure the replacement A7 Micro Deck to its packaging.
2.
Carefully slide the replacement A7 Micro Deck out of its packaging.
3.
Reverse the order of the removal procedure.
4.
Torque all screws to 9 in–lbs.
