Assembly Removal and Installation Procedure

NOTE

This section is meant to be a high level overview of the process for replacing an assembly.

1.

Faulty/bad board assembly is identified by using the troubleshooting information in 

Chapter 1

.

2.

Before removing the bad assembly, use the Remove Assembly service menu to transfer the assembly’s array information, by pressing the 
corresponding softkey:

 proceed with assembly replacement until step

Service Procedure

CAUTION

After replacing an assembly, it is critical to do a backup or restore in the instrument—as indicated in the tables below—to 
return the instrument to full configuration capability. Refer to 

Table 4-1

 and 

Table 4-2 on page 3

.

After replacing an assembly, check the following tables to see if you should run the service procedure. If your instrument has firmware 
version A.01.04, you must upgrade to A.01.10 or later prior to replacing any assembly. If you do not upgrade to A.01.10 or later your license 
key data will not be available and all license key enabled options will not work.

If you did not upgrade your firmware to A.01.10 prior to replacing an assembly refer to 

Table 4-1

If you did upgrade your firmware to A.01.10 or later, refer to 

Table 4-2

.

Table 4-1 Assembly Replaced with A.01.04 firmware installed – Backup
