All Front Panel LEDs are Not Functioning

9.
If DS3 is the only LED on, the A1 Power Supply may be in “global over current shut down mode”. This is caused by one or more of the
power supplies overloading the A1 Power Supply. In this mode all power supplies, except for the standby 5.1V output supply, will turn
off.
If this occurs, isolate the defective assembly by removing one of the following cables or assemblies at a time and running through the
procedure listed below,
•
W1 at J6 front panel
•
A5 CPU
•
A2 Vector Module
NOTE
The signal generator will not operate if the A1 Power Supply and the A3 RF assembly are separated.
a.
Turn the signal generator on.
b.
If the condition still exists, turn the signal generator off.
c.
Re-install the first assembly you removed and remove the next assembly in the list.
d.
Turn the signal generator on.
e.
If the condition still exists, continue this process until all assemblies have been tested.
If changing the assemblies does not correct the condition, the fault could be in either the A1 Power Supply or the A3 RF assembly. One or
both of these assemblies will need to be replaced to isolate the faulty assembly.
1.
Replace the A1 Power Supply.
2.
If replacing the A1 Power Supply
1
does not correct the condition, replace the A3 RF assembly.
3.
If you replaced the A3 RF assembly in an N5183A model instrument, go to
