VEE Measurement Program Operation
Measurement
span, the measurement speed may become
very slow when you set this below 10kHz. The
values which can be set by vary by Spectrum
analyzer the system has If the system has
4395A or E5040A, the RBWs of 3k, 10k, 30k,
100k, 300k and 1MHz can be set. If the
system has the optional E4402 3GHz
spectrum analyzer, 3MHz and 5MHz RBWs
can be set additionally. When you use other
than the above values, the closest and lower
value is set automatically.
VBW
Specifies the video band width. Narrowing
VBW will reduce the noise variations. And
widening VBW results to a faster
measurement. If the system has E4402B 3GHz
spectrum analyzer or 4395A, this value is
clipped to a largest (and not greater than it)
value within the range from RBW/300 to
RBW and among 10, 30, 100, 1k, 3k, 10k,
30k, 100k, 300k, 1M and 3MHz. (IF the
system has the 4395A, the maximum value is
1MHz.) When only E5040A is installed in the
system, the VBW value is clipped to the value
of RBW.
Start Freq.
Specifies the starting frequency of the
spectrum analyzer for spectrum measurement.
If the system has 4395A, the frequency range
is from 0Hz (min) to 500MHz (max). If the
system has E4402B 3GHz spectrum analyzer
with the E5040A, the frequency range is 0Hz
(min) to 3GHz (max).
Stop Freq.
Specifies the stopping frequency of the
spectrum analyzer for spectrum measurement.
If the system has 4395A, the frequency range
is from 0Hz (min) to 500MHz (max). If the
system has E4402B 3GHz spectrum analyzer
with the E5040A, the frequency range is 0Hz
(min) to 3GHz (max).
Data Pattern
Specifies the data pattern to be written on the
test track. To set the data pattern, click on the
[Configuration] > [Setup] > [Pattern Config]
buttons to open the data pattern menu.
Track #
Specifies the track number to be tested.
Meas. Type
Specifies the type of measurement sequence.
1)[Erase Write Meas.] means to erase, write
data then measure. 2)[Write Meas.] means to
write data, then measure. 3) [Meas.] means to
measure only.
NOTE
To set the type of DC erase i.e. (DC+ / DC-/AC), click on [More Config.] to open the setup
