Measurement

Bit Error Test Measurement

Overview

The Agilent E5039A/B/C is a Bit Error Rate Test Module designed to allow users to
measure the bit error rate characteristics of the head and media with a customer specified
channel IC. The parameters of the channel IC is programmable according to test
requirements and measurement applications. In general, BER is used to measure what
fraction of the total bits are in error.

Measurement
Procedure

Click on [BER] button from the measurement menu to open the Bit Error Measurement
menu.
