Granulator does not start
.
Check point Remedy Precaution
Check that the feed hopper is
securely closed.
And, check for foreign material
in the clamp / flange area of the
feed hopper is caught.
Remove foreign material.
And, tighten the clamp of the
feed hopper securely. The granulator won’t start if the "OFF"
condition of the closed- confirmation limit
switch hasn’t been engaged.
Check that the E-stop button has
not been pressed / engaged.
Reset the E-stop switch by
turning it, to unlock it. Make sure all possible jam-causes are
removed.
Check each of the four limit-
switches are functioning
normally, and engaged.
Perform repair of the switch or
replace at each location:
1) For the feed hopper.
2) For the lock-knob / bolt.
3) For the lower cleaning drawer.
4) For the take-away box. Refer to
Chapter 7. Maintenance and
check, -2. Every three months
maintenance and check.
To repair or replace the limit switch, make
sure to contact Service division.
The On button is pushed, but
nothing happens. Check if the motor-starter has
tripped, and needs to be reset.
If so, contact an electrical service
person to help troubleshoot the
cause of a high amp-draw.
