Chapter 8 Trouble-shooting & Remedies

This chapter describes troubleshooting for the standard product.
Please check here before requesting a repair.
Stop the operation and cut off the primary power supply before checking
work start.
Issues: 1) An abnormal sound is heard during operation.
2) Granulating reduction ability is noticed.
Check point Remedy Precaution
Check whether the feed hopper
and cutting chamber of
granulator are clamped securely.
Tighten the clamp of each part
securely. Perform work after the primary power
supply is cut off.
Check for foreign material in the
feed hopper and granulator.
Remove any foreign material.
Then replace any damaged parts. Perform work after the primary power
supply is cut off.
To purchase parts or for replacement, make
sure to contact Service division.
Check the gap-adjustment for the
rotating cutters and fixed cutters
are correct.
Adjust the gap of the rotating
cutters and fixed cutters to 0.2
mm. Perform work after the primary power
supply is cut off.
Refer to Chapter 7. Maintenance checks,
7.6-1 Replacement and clearance-
adjustment method for fixed cutters, fixed
crushing cutters, and scrapers.
Check whether the edges of the
fixed cutters and rotating cutters
are compromised or deficient.
Replace the fixed cutters or
rotating cutters. Refer to Chapter 7. Maintenance checks, -
1. Daily maintenance check items for
cleaning and check inside the feed hopper
and granulator.
Refer to Chapter 7. Maintenance checks,
7.6-1 Replacement and clearance-
adjustment method for fixed cutters, fixed
crushing cutters, and scrapers.
Check if the granulation areas
have become full of ground-up
material. Check if the take-away box
under the granulator has become
full or if bridging occurs, and
clear it.

If bridging occurs, it is necessary to add a
“bridge breaker” option. Contact to our
Service division.

Check whether the conveyor / loader is
working normally.
