HIGH LIMIT SWITCH
The dual bulb F ontroller ( ¿ g 1) F ontains the high limit (energy F utoff)
sensor The high limit swit F h interrupts main burner gas À ow should
the water temperature rea F h 205 ƒ F (96 ƒ C)
In the event of high limit swit F h operation, the applian F e F annot be
restarted unless the water temperature is redu F ed by at least 20 ƒ F
(11 ƒ C) and the high limit reset button on front of limit F ontrol ( ¿ g 1)
is depressed
Continued manual resetting of high limit F ontrol, pre F eded by higher
than usual water temperature is eviden F e of high limit swit F h operation
The following is a possible reason for high limit swit F h operation
‡ A malfun F tion in the thermostati F F ontrols would allow the gas
F ontrol valve to remain open F ausing water temperature to
ex F eed the thermostat setting The water temperature would
F ontinue to rise until high limit swit F h operation

The F ombustion F hamber observation a FF ess panel is lo F ated
above and to the left of the burner A plug lo F ated under the
panel, see fig 5, is inserted into the F ombustion F hamber wall
This plug should not be removed ex F ept, in rare F ases, when
the F ombustion F hamber requires F leaning or repla F ement

UNCRATING
Un F rate the heater by removing the outside mat and top lo F ator
The shipping pallet must be removed from the unit It may be
possible to simply unbolt the base from the pallet and, with
the help of 2 or more persons, work the unit off the pallet
Some units will be too heavy and will require the use of ja F ks
or lifting equipment to safely remove the pallet and move the
unit into position
Be F areful when moving this heater It will
tip over easily
The heater is shipped with a burner and draft F ontrol The
burner and draft F ontrol are shipped in separate F artons They
should be installed as re F eived without any alterations
Dis F ard the shipping F rate and pa F kaging F artons in an
appropriate manner
