INTRABEAM Water Phantom
Operation
•
In the position with the maximum current value, you have reached the
exact Z position of the probe tip.
•
Secure this Z positioning using the locking lever on the adjusting knob for
the Z axis.
Positioning the rotary feedthrough
The isotropy measurement is performed by rotating the XRS 4 through one
full revolution while measuring the emitted X-ray radiation.
In order to achieve exact positioning and repeatability of the rotary table, the
latter must be equipped with 8 detent positions in 45° steps.
Using the clamping screw (1), the rotary feedthrough can be fixed in the 8 de-
tent positions.
•
Loosen the clamping screw (1) manually and rotate the rotary table to the
next detent.
•
Tighten the clamping screw (1) securely by hand and measure the dose
rate.
•
Proceed step-by-step until all 8 detent positions have been reached.
