The measurement procedure for determining the depth dose
for the INTRABEAM 600 is explained below.
Measuring the depth dose with the INTRABEAM 600
Starting the measurement of the depth dose curve (INTRABEAM 600)
You will find detailed explanations of how to operate the software in the In-
structions for Use of your INTRABEAM 600.
You may already have performed the following adjustments in order to ex-
actly position the probe tip vertically by checking its position via current meas-
urement.
• Open the "Treatment prescription" window.
• Create a "patient", for example "XRS_test_1".
• Make the settings for the XRS 4:

A beam current. 50 kV acceleration voltage, no applicator
• Select the following settings in order to obtain a treatment duration of
several hours:
Prescribed dose 90 Gy, treatment depth 30 mm
• Start the "treatment" and wait until the display for the internal X-ray mon-
itor indicates approx. 100%.
