INTRABEAM Water Phantom
Operation
–
Place the probe tip in the optimum position in relation to the IC
ionization chamber in the measuring chamber for isotropy, i.e. only
raise it along the Z axis; check the positioning by measuring the
current with the electrometer.
–
Record the measured values. To do this, use the rotary feedthrough to
rotate the XRS 4 to the 8 detent positions, fixing it in the detent posi-
tion with the clamping screw in each case.
–
Calculate the deviation from the ideal isotropy.
–
Drain the water from the water tank.
The protective CrN coating of the X-ray probe can be damaged.
•
Do not leave the X-ray probe of the XRS 4 in liquid (e.g. water, cleaning
agents or disinfectants) for more than 2 hours. Failure to comply with this
instruction may result in damage to the protective CrN coating of the X-
ray probe.
