3.2 Connecting a Power Supply
Installing the NiMH Battery

Make sure that the power switch of the instrument is turned off and
the lead cables and AC adapter are not connected.

If alkaline batteries are in use, slide up the lock switch on
the left side of the instrument and remove the alkaline battery holder
before installing the NiMH battery.

Insert the holder into the opening on the instrument.
Slide the holder into the opening so that the connector is aligned
properly.

Slide down the lock switch to fix the holder in place.
(The lock switch indication changes to " FREE.")

Battery Level Indication (Remaining Battery Power Indicator)
Indicates that the battery voltage is normal.
Indicates that the battery level is above 50%. (Lit)
Charge the battery when this mark begins flashing.
The battery takes approximately 6 hours to fully charge from the flashing state.
