FRONT FORK

11.Install:

• fork spring
• spring seat
• collar
• cap bolt

NOTE:

• Install the spring with the smaller pitch

facing

• Before installing the cap bolt, lubricate its O-ring

with grease.

• Temporarily tighten the cap bolt.

INSTALLING THE FRONT FORK LEGS
The following procedure applies to both of the
front fork legs.
1. Install:

• front fork leg

NOTE:

• Make sure the inner tube is flush with the top

of the upper bracket.

• Temporarily tighten the upper and lower

bracket pinch bolts.

2. Tighten:

• lower bracket pinch bolts

• cap bolt

• upper bracket pinch bolt

WARNING

Make sure the brake hoses and clutch hose
are routed properly.

3. Install:

• front fender brace
• front fender

4. Adjust:

• compression damping

Refer to “ADJUSTING THE FRONT FORK
LEGS” in chapter 3.
