Rocker Arm and Push Rod
1. Remove the rocker arm bracket nuts.
2. Detach the rocker arm assembly (1).
3. Remove the push rods (2).
(When reassembling)
• When putting the push rods (2) onto the tappets (3), check to see
if their ends are properly engaged with the grooves.
IMPORTANT
■
• After installing the rocker arm, be sure to adjust the valve
clearance.

Cylinder Head
1. Loosen the pipe clamp (1), and remove the water return pipe (2).
2. Remove the cylinder head screw in the order of (n) to (a).
3. Lift up the cylinder head (3) to detach.
4. Remove the cylinder head gasket.
(When reassembling)
• Replace the cylinder head gasket with a new one.
• Tighten the cylinder head screws after applying sufficient oil.
• Tighten the cylinder head screws in diagonal sequence starting
from the center in the order of (a) to (n).
• Tighten them uniformly, or the head may deform in the long run.
