The 3 components that are supposed to read and send the magnet signal are the dis-
play, cable, and interface board. Magnet error messages indicate that the treadmill is
not recognizing the emergency stop magnet.
Desmo Evo ’05 Series Model
 Make sure magnet is positioned properly.
 Check the position of the magnet sensor (on the back of the center console area).
 Make sure the magnet sensor is in the right position. If not, reposition the black
sensor and tighten the nut.
 Ensure the magnet pick-up harness (4-pin connector) is plugged in on the back of
the display board.
 See if LED 6 on the interface board is red.

If LED 6 stays on both while the magnet is in place and when removed, the is-
sue is with the interface board.
- If LED 6 is only on while the magnet is removed, the issue is with the display
board.
Desmo, Mercury, Path Models
 Make sure magnet is positioned properly.
 Ensure the magnet pick-up harness (4-pin connector) is plugged in on the back of
the display board.
 See if LED 6 on the interface board is red.

If LED 6 stays on both while the magnet is in place and when removed, the is-
sue is with the interface board.
- If LED 6 is only on while the magnet is removed, the issue is with the display
board.
