If the treadmill only increases to max. incline (i.e. no incremental values are accepted),
try the following:
If the lifting system increases to max. incline and the screen displays the incline
accurately, a command button is stuck.
Unplug the side control harness from the back of the display board (if applicable).
This is the biggest connector on the back of the display board.
With the side control harness unplugged, turn the display ON. If the problem goes
away, the side controls need to be replaced.
If the problem persists, the display board needs to be replaced.

Squeaking Sounds
Bearing: Contact WOODWAY Customer Service to replace the bearing.
Toothed belt rubbing against guide roller: Lubricate the teeth on the drive axle and
let the running surface run slowly for a few minutes to evenly distribute the grease.
Note: Excessive grease causes clotting and collecting of dust.
Broken guide roller: Contact WOODWAY Customer Service to replace the guide
roller.
Incline motor: A break may be stuck or the motor may have stopped. See Section
8.4.

Vibrations
If the treadmill vibrates when SPEED is at 0 MPH, the drive belt needs to be tightened.
Push the drive motor forward to increase the drive belt tension.
Tighten the drive motor mounting bolts.
Ensure the drive belt tension has approx. ¼” deflection between the motor pulley
and drive roller.
Once you start adjusting the tension, you will hear and see the difference in the vi-
bration of the unit. Adjust the tension until the treadmill no longer vibrates.

Error Codes
In certain cases, error codes may be displayed on-screen. Each code represents a spe-
cific issue that needs to be addressed.
If the treadmill shuts down with “Err1” displayed, perform the following:
Determine if the running surface belt enters DYNAMIC (free-wheel) mode or if it
remains ENGAGED (locked).
Identify possible drive board faults (see Section 4.2.2).
If the treadmill shuts down with “Err2” displayed, perform the following:
Determine if the running surface belt enters DYNAMIC (free-wheel) mode or if it
remains ENGAGED (locked).
Identify possible drive board faults (see Section 4.2.2).
If the treadmill shuts down with “Err3” displayed, this indicates an issue with either the
interface board or the potentiometer (Pot out of range).
Put the treadmill into Diagnostic Mode (see Section 7).
Determine if the potentiometer is giving a correct actual grade reading.
If the potentiometer is not providing an accurate reading, it will need to be re-
placed. Contact WOODWAY Customer Service.
If the potentiometer is providing an accurate reading, the interface board will need
to be replaced. Contact WOODWAY Customer Service.
Err3: Out of Range
Only Goes to
Max. Incline
Err1: Over-Speed
Err2: Loss of Signal
