4.8 Replacing Components
4.8.1 Replacing the Holding Magnet
1. Switch off the power and disconnect the mains input lead.
2. Remove the Main Drive Motor Assembly (see 4.8.12).
3. Undo the screw that holds the Magnet in place (see Figure 4:26). Note the
position of the Crinkle Washers.
4. When fitting the new Magnet, use Loctite 242 on the mounting screw. Do
not overtighten this screw; the Crinkle Washers should allow the Holding
Magnet to move slightly from side to side.
4.8.2 Replacing the Power Interface PCB
The Power Interface PCB may be at fault if fuses blow regularly, or if there
are components in the ASM that are not receiving power.
Procedure
1. Switch off the power and disconnect the mains input lead. Position the
ASM so that the RH side is easily accessible.
2. Remove the RH Side Cover
3. Remove all the cables from the PCB assembly (see Figure 4:27). Note
their position for refitting. The cables will only fit into the correct connec-
tor in the correct orientation.
