Meter User Guide
Conductivity Measurement
1. Rinse the conductivity probe with distilled or deionized water. Shake off any
excess water and blot the probe dry with lint-free tissue.
2. Place the conductivity probe into the sample.
a. If the meter is in the continuous measurement mode, it will start reading
immediately and continuously update the display. The
μ
S/cm
or
mS/cm
icon will flash until the reading is stable. Once the reading is stable, log and
print the measurement by pressing
. If a benchtop meter is used and
the stirrer is enabled, press
to start the stirrer. Press
again to turn
off the stirrer before removing the probe and stirrer from the sample.
b. If the meter is in the AUTO-READ measurement mode, press
to start
the reading. The
AR
icon will flash until the reading is stable. Once the
reading is stable, the meter will log and print the measurement and freeze
the display. If a benchtop meter is used and the stirrer is enabled, the stirrer
will turn on when
is pressed and turn off when the reading is stable.
c. If the meter is in the timed measurement mode, it will start reading
immediately and continuously update the display. The meter will log and
print the measurement at the frequency specified in the setup menu. If a
benchtop meter is used and the stirrer is enabled, press
to start the
stirrer. Press
again to turn off the stirrer before removing the probe and
stirrer from the sample.
3. Remove the conductivity probe from the sample, rinse it with distilled or
deionized water, blot it dry, place it in the next sample and repeat step 2.
4. Once all of the samples have been measured, rinse the conductivity probe with
distilled or deionized water and blot it dry. Consult the conductivity probe user
guide for proper storage techniques.
