high resolution for near field target identification.

Manipulator
The manipulator allows the operator to interact with and retrieve objects. The Defender has a
retractable manipulator and two tracks that allow it to be extended straight forward or downward at a
30 degree angle. The vehicle pitch control can be used to orient the manipulator at additional angles
for optimal ability to grasp an object.

Inuktun Rotating Manipulator
The MSS Rotating Manipulator has full 360° head rotation and five interchangeable jaws for multiple
tasks - anything from untangling tether snags to collecting samples to recovering objects up to 22.6 kg
(50 lb). Using the hand controller, you can retrieve items in confined or hazardous locations. The
VideoRay ROV's camera can be tilted down to focus on the jaw to provide a close view of the
operation.
