You do not need to type the Enter key. In configuration mode you are now able to configure the
baud rate for the rotating manipulator port.
8. Using the values from the
Communications Module configuration table
change the parameters
on the Communications Module to match the baud rate for the manipulator port from the table.
To change the baud rate value for the manipulator port, follow these steps:
1. Identify the port where the manipulator is connected and note the option number for the
baud rate parameter.
2. Type the
Option Number
followed by Enter, then type the
Desired Baud Rate Value
(38400)
followed by Enter.
9. Press the s key followed by Enter to save the configuration.
10. Press the x key followed by Enter to exit the configuration menu.
11. Press the x key again to exit diagnostic mode. You do not need to press Enter.
12. Close the diagnostic window.
13. Close the terminal window.
AHRS Replacement
Replacing an AHRS requires hardware replacement. Currently, the AHRS will be pre-configured when
delivered, so there is no need for software configuration procedures.
Hardware Replacement
To remove and replace an AHRS, follow these steps:
1. Power down the system.
2. Remove the top float block by removing the four screws holding the float block to the frame.
3. For the AHRS to be replaced, follow the AHRS cable to the Communications Module and
remove it noting its location.
4. Carefully thread the disconnected cable and connector back through the frame until it is clear.
5. Using a Phillips head screw driver, remove the 2 screws that hold the AHRS to the frame.
6. Remove the damaged AHRS from the vehicle.
7. Mount the replacement AHRS on the frame and secure it using the Phillips head screws
removed earlier.
8. Thread the cable and connector through the same routing as the old AHRS. Connect the cable
to the same location on the Communications Module as before.
9. Replace the float block using the screws removed earlier.
AHRS and Control Software Configuration
This section is reserved for future use.
Thruster Replacement
Replacing a thruster requires both hardware replacement and software configuration procedures. Each
thruster must be configured for its specific location on the vehicle. Configuration parameters are
