In many countries, the light fittings required by law for road
traffic use must also be fitted during the day and must be ready for
use at all times.
Mounting points for lighting equipment
Depending on the bicycle model, the headlight is installed either
on the head tube, above the mudguard or on the fork. The rear
light is switched on together with the headlight in all bicycle mod-
els. Depending on the bicycle model, the rear light is either fitted
beneath the pannier rack or on the mudguard (see Fig.
“Mounting
points for lighting equipment”
).
