TPN Program

N
utrition - This mode delivers an infusion while
automatically tapering up and down. The pattern of the program is a
trapezoid.
Rate
Time
On a TPN Program the user may set the total volume which corresponds
to the size of the bag to be infused, the total time, and the up and down
time. The pump displays the maximal rate, as calculated, from the set
parameters. The maximal rate display is used to verify that the setting
corresponds to the requested data, and to ensure that the maximal rate is
suitable to the patient.
Up and down time can be set to zero. A TPN program with up and down
time set to zero, is a
continuous
program.
Switch the pump ON using the
ON/OFF
key.

Pump displays program name and status. The
status is either "Lock out" or "program".
(locking and unlocking the pump – see page
50).

Resume Press OK
In the event a TPN program was interrupted
and was not completed, the pump will display
the Resume/Repeat screen.
